Make Sense of Your Worth
A few years ago, Agape began offering group counseling to women looking for support and healing from their past. The goal was to help families heal, keep children in their homes, and break the cycle of generational trauma. To achieve this, Agape offers two programs created by Halo Project called: Making Sense of Your Worth and Parenting for Positive Self-Worth.
This two-phase program gives women answers about what happened to them (domestic violence, abuse, trauma) and provides a step-by-step process for healing and building positive self-worth. It also offers parenting strategies to help children heal and develop their own sense of worth.
- Phase one focuses on helping women gain positive self-worth for themselves.
- Phase two focuses on helping children heal and develop positive self-worth through their parents’ new skills.
During class, you will learn:
- How to connect with your child(ren) in a deep and meaningful way.
- How to empower your child(ren) to succeed every day.
- How to correct behavior while reinforcing your child’s positive self-worth.
While you’re learning these skills, your children have the option to attend Agape Kids Club. This program teaches kids important tools like self-regulation, expressing emotions in healthy ways, redoing inappropriate behavior, connecting with others, and building healthy relationship skills.
The Parenting for Positive Self-Worth program is based on Trust-Based Relational Intervention® (TBRI®), created by Dr. Karyn Purvis and Dr. David Cross at the Karyn Purvis Institute of Child Development at Texas Christian University. With this proven approach, Agape is helping families find healing, hope, and a brighter future.
There is no cost to attend.
